IGQ is aware of the importance of impartiality in carrying out its certification, inspection, verification and validation activities, in order to maintain confidence in the certifications and verification declarations issued.

Impartiality means that:

• every potential conflict of interest is identified and eliminated or mitigated;
• certification decisions and the issuing of verification declarations are based only on objective evidence of conformity, collected during audits and verifications carried out by representative sampling in a repeatable fashion;
• decisions are not influenced by other interests, either internal or external to IGQ.
