The Scientific Committee operates in the full awareness of the importance of impartiality for a certification body, to obtain and maintain confidence in the integrity and credibility of its certifications. The Committee is appointed by the Assembly. Its members are chosen in order to ensure a balanced representation of all interested parties, with no prevailing interests.
Therefore the Scientific Committee ensures that all certification decisions are taken safeguarding impartiality, i.e. are based only on objective evidence of conformity, collected during audits carried out by representative sampling in a repeatable fashion, and is committed to prevent any other interests, internal or external to IGQ, to influence such decisions.
